What are the requirements for ID badges?
The standards require that an organization identify individuals entering its facilities. An organization is expected to determine who requires identification and how the process is implemented. If the policy requires all staff to wear ID badges, then all staff (including physicians) would need to comply. Photo IDs with names on badges (first, last, both, one or the other, and so on) may be necessary as some states have specific standards. Please check with the local AHJ for additional guidance.
