What is TJC's position on staff using written prompts or "cheat sheets" during a survey when responding to surveyor questions about PASS, RACE, and other emergency procedures?
While "cheat sheets" are OK for many staff competencies, it is not acceptable for staff to articulate their response to a fire situation without the use of a cheat sheet when asked by a surveyor. Staff should “know” how to respond immediately in a fire or other emergency situation based on their training.
