What is the allowable distance a
sprinkler head can be installed to a wall?
The NFPA 13 states that sprinklers must be at least 4 inches from a wall.

5-6.3.3 Minimum Distance from Walls.
Sprinklers
shall be located a minimum of 4 in. (102 mm) from a wall.
