I would like to
put together a policy for “approved” appliances to allow in employee lounges / break rooms that is reasonable. We prohibit any open element device. What is allowable?
We recommend doing a risk assessment for the various appliances that staff would like to have in their employee areas. Some are certainly safe enough to be in those areas, while others pose a genuine risk. TJC will expect to see a list of allowed appliances based on your risk assessments.
