Piped Medical Gas System in ASC

Can you tell me what types of ambulatory surgery centers (ASC's) require a piped medical gas system? 

I couldn’t find anything in the 2010 Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care  Facilities nor in The Joint Commission standards that would mandate piped medical gas systems for ambulatory surgery centers (ASC’s).

Note: This standard does not require [organization]s to have the medical gas and vacuum systems discussed below. However, if an organization has these types of systems, then the following inspection, testing, and maintenance requirements apply.
