Can objects and equipment be left on one side of a hospital corridor?
The 2000 Life Safety Code does not specifically address “leaving things on one side of a hospital corridor.” It does not provide any exceptions for that practice. Things parked or setting on one side of the corridor only might work in areas where the corridors are wider than what the Code is mandating in those specific areas. Then that extra space could conceivably be used for parking some items on one side but not storing any combustibles.
